I grew up and still live near Basel, Switzerland.

I’ve always been interested in fashion, it’s sort of a family thing: my mom and my sister are both dressmakers and I kind of always knew I wanted to become a fashion designer. But once I started my studies (fashion design) I realized that this wasn’t exactly the career I had always dreamed about. But what I did realize was, that I became more and more interested in the history of the dresses rather than in designing them myself. Every time we started a new project I could lose myself in research and could spend hours in the library. I also was interested in the (hi)story surrounding the clothes, how certain events can influence the change of fashion and how dramatic changes in fashion are closely connected to historical events (e.g. the French revolution and the clothing of the revolutionaries). So after I had finished my fashion studies I decided to study history.

Now I am trying to find my place in the world of fashion, textiles and history, trying to find the perfect fusion of them all. Still looking around, worked in different areas such as museums, theaters, … open to what comes next and where it will take me…
